The bicycling world has been waiting for this one! This short originated with a call from a desperate customer who pleaded with us to design a pair of heavy-duty, rugged shorts for him, and other guys like him. He said that there were absolutely no bicycling shorts out there for the big guys. He said that just because a person might be big or had gained a little weight didn’t mean that they’d given up bicycling, and it certainly didn’t mean that they should be left with only the option of riding in sweat pants. He offered to work with us to develop and test the shorts. So, from there we started designing the most Heavy Duty Touring Shorts we could imagine, and with results that surpassed all of our expectations.

• 4-ply Nylon Taslan fabric (twice the weight of the Taslan in the regular Touring Shorts) is tough, rugged, durable, and fast drying; it retains its properties through years of repeated laundering; Taslan doesn’t retain moisture like cotton does, so won’t chaff your skin
• Over-sized, plush, extra beefy chamois has two layers for maximum comfort in the saddle; double layer of fleece adds extra cushion and wicks moisture away from the body; these layers are tapered on the outside edges to reduce bulk; the third Ultrasuede layer lies next to the skin and absorbs moisture, while still remaining soft and pliable
• Double stitched for added strength in the seams, and reinforced in all possible stress points for added durability
• Wide elastic waistband has a heavy-duty waist tie that allows adjustability for maximum fit and comfort
• Two large zippered side cargo pockets for storing maps, small tools, snacks, and small critters
• Generously sized, these shorts are designed with the “big” guy in mind, so are only available in 3X and 4X
