The Waterproof Rain Jacket is an excellent rain jacket for touring and commuting. When Mark Jackson, founder of J & G Cyclewear, was still running his bicycle shop, he created this line of rainwear to fill the gap between the cheaper, seemingly disposable stuff, and the more expensive waterproof breathable items. After much trial and error, extreme testing, and a lot of time under the garden hose (when there was no rain!), the result was rainwear that was to be the beginnings of J & G. The waterproof jacket is extremely functional, rugged, and durable, and versatile. It is as comfortable to wear walking in the woods or on the beach, as it is to wear cycling. But it is cut for cycling with long arms and tail, and the seamless upper body makes it very roomy. The seamless upper body and the long-lasting coating make this jacket waterproof without taped seams, which means no tape to come off in a couple of years. The long pit zips, when opened, act like wind scoops for ventilation. It has 3M-brand tape that has a far greater range and angle of reflectivity than other reflective tapes; therefore, it is super visible from all angles. This waterproof jacket will serve you well and last for years!
